HomeTown Birds, heritage horizons 24

We were delighted to be awarded funding from the University of Bedfordshire Heritage Horizons for our Hometown Birds project. Building on our pilot of Hometown Birds at the POP UP 23 we are focussing our project in the Pigeon Square area of Bedford, delivering workshops in the square and local cafes.

Participants will decorate their pigeons and tell us their migration stories which will then be transferred to vinyl with a QR code to hear migration tales. This will appear as part of an art trail in Church Arcade, Pigeon Square and hopefully the bus station.
